Jobber is one of the best-known names in home service software, and plenty of contractors outgrow it, price out of it, or simply want a different fit. If you are shopping Jobber alternatives, the useful question is not "which tool is best" but "which tool matches how my shop actually runs."

## Start with your real workflow

Before you look at a single demo, write down how work enters your business:

\1. A customer calls and you book a service call. 2. A customer calls and you book an estimate visit first. 3. A larger job turns into a multi-phase project. 4. A membership visit comes due and needs scheduling.

Any alternative you consider should handle all four without a workaround. A lot of software is excellent at path one and awkward at paths two through four.

## The comparison checklist

- **Pricing model.** Per user, per seat, per feature tier, or a mix? Ask what happens when you add a seasonal tech in July and remove them in October.
- **Dispatch.** Can a dispatcher see the whole day on one board, drag work between techs, and see drive time between stops?
- **Estimating.** Do you get tiered good / better / best options, in-person signature, and a remote approval link for the customer who needs to talk to a spouse?
- **Invoicing and payments.** Are payment links branded, and does a paid invoice close the loop automatically?
- **Inventory.** Is truck stock tracked, and does consuming a part on a job change your on-hand count?
- **Memberships.** Can you forecast the maintenance visits you already sold?
- **Exports.** Can you get your customers, jobs, and history out again?

## Where JobOpsPro fits

JobOpsPro is built for residential contractors who want the whole pipeline — call intake, dispatch, estimates, jobs, invoices, inventory, memberships, and projects — in one system at $25 per user per month with unlimited customers and jobs. There is no per-record pricing, so growing your customer list does not grow your bill.

The pieces that most often decide a switch:

- **One work trail.** Every job shows how it came in, the estimate it came from, and the invoice it produced.
- **Route-aware dispatch.** Routes start from your shop address and re-sequence by drive time, appointment window, or urgency.
- **Project phases with dates.** Multi-week installs get a real timeline with dependencies, not a comma-separated list.

## How to run the trial

Pick one week of real work and enter it twice — once in your current system, once in the alternative. You will learn more from a single messy Tuesday than from any feature grid. Pay attention to clicks per job, how long it takes a tech to close out, and whether your office staff has to re-type anything.

If you want to see it with data already in place, open the sample company and click through a full day of dispatch, estimates, and invoices before you enter anything of your own.

## Run This In Your Own Shop
